About
A dispensation was granted in July of 1848 to form Madison Lodge #183. Madison Lodge #183 was chartered by the Grand Lodge of Kentucky in 1849 and became the third Lodge in Madison County. The first Master of the Lodge was William C. Montgomery. The original charter and minutes were lost when the original Lodge burned down in 1900. Another building was constructed and served as the Lodge until 1958. The Lodge entered the current building in January of 1959.
